PayPal hosts a remote MCP server for merchant tasks such as creating and listing invoices, generating reports, and looking up transaction details. Connect it to Spojit to raise invoices from an order workflow or reconcile payments on a schedule.
Spojit connects to this server through a custom MCP server connection, so you add it with Add custom server rather than from the connector catalog. PayPal maintains it and decides which tools it offers; see PayPal’s MCP server quickstart for the current list.

Before you start

  • A PayPal account for production, or a PayPal sandbox account for testing.

Build and test against the sandbox first, then add a second connection for production.

Connect in Spojit

Add a custom server

Go to Connections and click Add custom server. Enter a Name such as PayPal Sandbox and paste the Server URL.

Keep Auto authentication

Leave Authentication on Auto, choose a visibility, and click Save & connect.

Log in to PayPal

PayPal opens its login page. Log in with the account for that environment and authorize access. Spojit marks the connection Connected and refreshes the token automatically.

Use it in a workflow

Add a Connector node, pick your PayPal server under Custom Servers, and choose Agent Mode or Direct Mode. See Use a custom server in a workflow.

Troubleshooting

Sandbox connections need sandbox credentials. Log in with a sandbox account from the PayPal Developer Dashboard, not your live account.
