Linear hosts an MCP server with tools for finding, creating, and updating issues, projects, and comments. Connect it to Spojit to open issues from support tickets, move work between states, or report on a cycle from a workflow.
Spojit connects to this server through a custom MCP server connection, so you add it with Add custom server rather than from the connector catalog. Linear maintains it and decides which tools it offers; see Linear’s MCP documentation for the current list.

Before you start

  • A Linear account in the workspace you want to connect. Each connection is tied to one workspace; to use another, add a second connection.

Add a custom server

Go to Connections and click Add custom server. Enter a Name such as Linear and paste the Server URL.

Keep Auto authentication

Leave Authentication on Auto, choose a visibility, and click Save & connect.

Approve access in Linear

Linear opens its authorization page. Choose the workspace and approve. Spojit marks the connection Connected and refreshes the token automatically.

Alternative: an API key

Linear also accepts a personal API key as a bearer token. Create one in your Linear account settings (give it only the Read permission for read-only access), then choose Token in Spojit, paste the key, keep Header name Authorization and Prefix Bearer, and click Add.

Use it in a workflow

Add a Connector node, pick your Linear server under Custom Servers, and choose Agent Mode or Direct Mode. See Use a custom server in a workflow.

Troubleshooting

Reconnecting does not switch workspaces within an existing sign-in. Add a separate connection for each workspace.
